Sarah's Christmas Poem
This season of giving
Days full of joy, happiness, and dreams are no longer
Celebration of life and love
Now grasped only by a fingertip
The fun once had decorating a tree,
Watching the floor beneath it become covered with presents,
And leaving cookies for Santa
Now just seems a hassle
This house seems empty
The many giggles of delight
Replaced by a cold silence
Every tiny thing dredges up colorful memories
No amount of love, however much recieved
Could fill this void of grief and guilt
